And using something like a Fuel Rod Cannon will result in the explosion happening right in your face, because they can close the distance extremely quickly. They take multiple Energy Swords hits to kill, so they will just spam punches.
I already absolutely despise Brutes, and when they go berserk, they're just so much harder to kill. Also, let me point out how much I hate berserking Brutes. Then I just sat back and had to fire my Carbine against many berserking Brutes. I believe I used a Carbine and possibly a beam rifle that was on significantly low battery, so I could only shoot it a couple of times. Then I had to kill a bunch of Brutes, and I struggled a decent amount to be honest. We then blast the doors open to the Control Center of Halo and enter the structure. I'm very thankful that there were consistent checkpoints, because if you kill a small fleet of three or four banshees, get all damaged, and then have to kill another small fleet twice in a row, it gets very difficult to just not get hit by guns! I died many times throughout the whole sequence, but due to the frequent checkpoints I made it out okay lol. We then enter the banshee section of this final level, which I will admit, was pretty difficult at times. The Arbiter's story is one of, if not the greatest single character story in all of Halo. I had little hope that he at the end, would join us. From those very first few cutscenes, the Arbiter was shown as a broken character, feeling betrayed by his own people. So my suspicions, my thoughts from the very beginning were proved true in this moment. Then, once we get up to the top of the platform, The Arbiter and 'Vadum finally accept their role in this universe, forging an unknown alliance with none other than Sergeant Johnson, and therefore the UNSC as a whole. Together, we beat some of them up and continue our way up to the Scarab. Both of them sharing the same hatred for the Brutes, the same desire for their destruction. Of course, we start off with the reunion of the Arbiter and Rtas 'Vadum.
The Great Journey, the final mission isn't a long one, but it certainly packs a punch only fitting for a conclusion to a game so incredible. I can't really describe it in words, but I'll certainly do my best. Well, it's been quite the journey, or should I say, quite the Great Journey? Because that's what I'm talking about today.
